I myself have experienced that App Store review process might disqualify an update to already released app (available for download at App store) because "it's too simple".
My friend have an app that have thousands of users that have PAID for it. He is afraid to update the app, last time they removed it from sales as it was "too simple". Thousands of paid users and too simple?
This eventually lead to situation where developers do not update their software because of fear of ridiculous subjective App Store review process.
